A video has surfaced allegedly showing Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie in a hotel incident back in 2016. This incident comes after Cassie accused Combs of physical and sexual abuse over several years, leading to a lawsuit that was settled the day after she made these allegations.
The video, reportedly captured in March 2016, shows multiple angles of the altercation. Cassie, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, accused Combs of rape and physical abuse, including punching, hitting, kicking, and stomping on her throughout their relationship. The lawsuit was swiftly resolved after being filed.
Combs, 54, has denied these allegations in the past, referring to them as unfounded. His representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Following the settlement with Cassie, Combs’ lawyer stated that the agreement did not admit any wrongdoing on his part.
In the lawsuit, Cassie claimed that Combs coerced her into the relationship when they began working together while she was an up-and-coming artist at his label. She detailed years of abuse, asserting that Combs controlled every aspect of her life.
Since Cassie’s lawsuit, Combs has faced accusations in various lawsuits involving sexual and physical abuse, group rape, and serious unlawful activities. He has consistently denied all allegations and vowed to clear his name.
The video from the hotel corridor shows Combs in a bathrobe without a shirt. He approaches a woman near an elevator, grabs her, throws her to the ground, kicks her twice, and then drags her by her hooded sweater while she is on the floor. The woman is seen raising her phone out of the camera’s view, after which Combs pushes her out of sight before throwing an object and sitting down.
Cassie’s lawyer, Douglas Wigdor, described the video as “heartbreaking” and further evidence of Combs’ concerning behavior. He praised Cassie’s courage in bringing this to light.
In her account, Cassie detailed an assault at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016 where she was allegedly punched in the face by a drunken Combs, resulting in a black eye. Despite Combs falling asleep, he continued to physically assault her upon waking up, leading to her attempt to escape the hotel room.
Cassie’s lawsuit recounts how Combs followed her into the hotel corridor, grabbed her, threw a glass bottle at her, and verbally abused her as she ran to the elevator for safety. She eventually left the hotel but returned, feeling compelled to apologize for trying to escape the abuse.
Hotel staff urged her to take a taxi back to her apartment after allegedly witnessing security footage of Combs assaulting her.
